260m long Cruiser (Design phase)
« on: April 15, 2012, 12:33:03 pm »
I started a ship over twice as long as my Aniketos but with less mass.  I've got an interesting form in mind and its still taking shape.  So for now I'll only post interior shots of the bridge and one of the cargo bays.

Comments, opinions so far?

That bridge looks GREAT!

The caliber of stuff that people are putting out with the editor is really impressive.

Thanks. ^^  I really like how multi-tier level bridges look with large windows. :D

Love the broadside cannons.
Question! What angles did you use for the diagonal struts on your bridge? By diagonal i mean the ones near the front that go sideways and slightly forward...

I used the corner-slope and tent-to-square.

That cargo hold reminds me of the Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast Hangars you would find in the space ships.

I also truely love the design of the bridge, I could totaly picture me standing there. Heck, I would even apply for the bridge crew's personal slave just to get on that bridge.

Adding raised armor plates.  What do you guys think?

I like it. I have similar raised armor plates on my current project. I always liked the way they looked on the Pillar of Autumn and decided to give them a try.

Yeah, I don't like the pillar of autumn's overall shape but I draw inspiration from several aspects of it. :)

edit:

I didn't like the windows on the bridge so I just redid them.  Opinions?
