Sentinal Shipworks
« on: April 10, 2012, 10:18:56 am »
Greetings ladys and gentlemen, and welcome to Sentinal Shipworks. Here at S-S we offer the best starships we can, both for military and civilian use. Our range of ships is constantly being updated and improved so you will always be one step ahead of you rivals, whether it's beating them at a race or blasting lumps of them into space, S-S has the ship for you!

Civilian Models:

Satchel-class Freighter
Spoiler
Essentially the IronWhales older brother, the Satchel-class is intended for longer range trips between star systems and is equipped with a warp core and powerful engines to achieve this. because of the length of trips there are housing facilities for the 6 crew members and the captain as well as an extremely large cargo hold and is perfect for use in small merchant caravans, although it is also very popular with mercenary's who refit the ship with weapons and use it as a gunboat.

side:

Voidskimmer-class racer
Spoiler
built purely for speed, the Voidskimmer is an extremely fast ship used primarily for racing. It's aerodynamic shape makes it perfect for in and out of atmosphere flying and it's small size lets it get to places other ships cannot. The Voidskimmer can also be fitted with a turret under the cockpit to be used as a light military fighter.

Military Models:

trebuchet-Class planetary defence cannon
Spoiler
The trebuchet's primary role is defending planets from enemy forces in times of war but it can also be used to destroy large asteroids. It does this by use of the giant plasma cannon that takes up most of it's bulk which fires a cylinder shaped plasma barrage capable of getting through all but the toughest armour, and can be manoeuvred into almost any position with its thrusters near the back of the cannon. The cannon can have an AI installed in it or be remote operated from a ship/command centre which makes it good to take on military campaigns as added firepower.

commissioned work
if you want me to make you a logo or a concept model for a ship so you can see it in 3D then post either a description of it or a picture and tell me if you want anything edited. if you want to see some of my work i made the F.I.S.H banner (in my sig) and theres a concept model of a ship im working on on page 2.

Very nice, very nice. I wonder how your Porcupines would do against my Scarabs  :D Hopefully we can have a test battle ;D

I like your cargo ship. Reminds me of the Iteron line of industrial ships from EVE:Online. I'm actually working on one  :P

Bit chunky.

We have all these wonderful new angles but it looks like you're still designing with blocks, then applying angles to smooth things out as an afterthought.

Also, why is the engine room so far away from the engine on your whale thing?

Cool miner. The design is a bit inefficient though :P you'd spend a lot of fuel trying to keep the drone from spinning like a top when it tries to dig :P unless it has some way of "attaching" itself to the asteroid? maybe grappling arms or landing claws.
