Strait Shipyards is a sole proprietorship design-build firm owned by Mr. Strait J. Raider with a focus on efficient and economical construction of spacecraft for both the civilian and military markets. Strait Shipyards also maintains a small number of ships for demonstration and private security. Recent allegations of Strait Shipyards undertaking mercenary contracts have been dismissed due to a lack of evidence.

It gives me great pleasure to announce the commissioning of the first ship of the Scarab class. The Scarab is a chunky corvette designed with combat endurance in mind. A mixed arsenal of weapons should allow this ship to carry out a number of combat roles including anti-fighter and anti-corvette duties. The Scarab will be undergoing shakedown exercises in the weeks to come before final fittings and adjustments. It is available to you now in its latest form as a celebration of Strait Shipyard's recent acquisition of new shipbuilding technology, which will pave the way for exciting new designs in the coming months. ~ S. We are happy to announce to you our latest development - Strait Shipyards is undergoing exploratory research and development in atmospheric vehicles and terrestrial deployment techniques. Not ones to make unsubstantiated claims, we present to you our first development: The All-Terrain Assault Transport. Designed to deploy in all environments, this quadrupedal "Walker" can withstand sustained exterior temperatures from absolute zero to 500 K as well as short-term exposures up to 10,000 K. Coupled with rocket-assisted descent, this unit can be dropped from orbit on objects with up to 2.3G, and operate in environments up to 4.5G. This carries on the highest traditions of Strait Shipyard's extraterrestrial ships - Durability, Survivability, Reliability.
