After seeing all the mega projects being posted I figured it was time I started my own. Being a Star Wars nerd fan I decided to make a star destroyer. It's not based off any particular ship but rather a mix of a few different ones.

One word:

Damn!

It looks incredible. I have been waiting for shipyard tools to get too deep in a megaproject... but this is fantastic. I am looking forward to the battle between this and Uomoz's Blockade Runner. Just the outline looks amazing in itself. Is it to scale or 1:1?

Simply Epic.

Thanks, no its not to scale. I based a lot of it off the Immobilizer 418 cruiser which is about 600m long, mine is a little bigger at 880m. So its not mega huge, but big enough to chase down a blockade runner  8)

I would suggest that you include some thruster clusters that allow you do move in Up, Down, Left, and Right directions rather than just forward.

Already have that planned Jmanndriver, I'm going to have a some near the tail end of the ship and some smaller ones near the front just not sure exactly how big and where yet.

Think of the center as the fulcrum to the lever. less and less force will be needed the farther away the thruster is from it.

UPDATE

Got a little more of the ship done yesterday, mostly just working on hull. So these pics will give you a better idea of it's overall shape.

UPDATE

Changed up the top of the Imperium a little bit to give it a more "box" look in line with the star destroyers from the original prequel. Also was able to start adding stuff and figuring out how the lines are going to look for the front and started some work on the bottom.

Also just for shits and giggles the last pic is a comparison between my ship and Vorgra's Super Claw Miner.

Noooooo!!! my Super Claw Miner... Is not Super anymore.... My world has come to an end..... NNOooooo.o..o...o.....o.........

Loving the size, Im not one to Build enourmous stuff (marginally Lazy), I would love it if the claw worked on that this, It would be fun to peel ships apart :D

@ Yolan thanks I aim to please  ;D

@ Vorgra are you kidding me that miner ship of yours is a beast. You must have also read my mind because when we get some new stuff (more weapons and rotating blocks hint hint dev's) I was thinking of making a modified version that would be a capital ships worst nightmare with a giant rotating piece that would drill into ships.
