Ship Design Assitance Tools
« on: October 15, 2011, 01:56:11 am »
This here, is a tool for preparing designs, its got numbers along the edge, and you can use this so that you avoid making mistakes on actual designs. copy this to your computer, use the "fill tool"  on Microsoft paint, use dark grey or something. save the orignal, then modify secondaries. you can label them as "deck 1, 2 3 ect" its not the greatest thing ever.... but its what i got so far... and it will save you time on intial designing if you can visualize in 3 dimensions. also included here, is the circle lists in block form. very useful

Draw your ship?!
Ha Ha I actually did it for many of my ships. It's a good way to get a fast overview and see how different shapes look like.
At least until shipyard tools become aviable this is surely helpful .

I remember using that exact circle guide for many of my builds in Minecraft (I still have a printout of it on my desk)... thanks for posting it here and adding the grid guide to it, this looks very handy.

Ms Paint, Turn on Grid, Zoom in.

Also, I noticed all of your circles are odd numbers.

for Convinence you should put up the even ones as well

If you are already in MS paint, use the ellipse tool. Hold down shift to maintain a circular dimension. Then use the diameter displayed at the bottom of the screen to make it the right size. The circle is drawn from where you start. Its 'corner' will reside at that point, not its center.

Even ones don't make circles at all well in a blocky world.
