Today's development update! (September 11th)
« on: September 11, 2014, 06:13:14 pm »
Today Zack experimented more with artemis component-inizing the game's objects. Netcode is just a real pain with trying to set it up! =P  The benefit of the artemis component system though is the elimination of the "god object" problem that creeps up in object oriented games.  We're trying to figure out where it applies best with BR; where it is too much, and where is it juuuuust right.  With netcode.  >.> -.-

Nathan has the scrap atlas ready for a visual texture test tomorrow.  After that we need to make sure objects utilize the scrap atlas!

With the scripting ducks mostly in a row, Gabe effortlessly slapped together the editor tool panel!  Gotta do tweaks for sub-abilities though.

Nathan, Gabe, Micah and I did a final check on how we're wanting to do the textures going forward (making them easier to mod).  For some reason Terah demanded we had it all straight before she started making new blocks... because you know... she's mean. >.>

Micah's just about finished generating instanced zones when you drop out of FTL. Lots of work get the last Unity standalone to work with it!
