Today's (randomish) development resource! (August 29th)
« on: August 29, 2013, 06:22:26 pm »
Today's Tweets:

Aaron: Today Gabe and I work out the logic vectored thrust (probably not for release of W1xx).  'Clever way to handle it we're investigating

Aaron: Zack and Nathan meanwhile continue code cleanings on the old thrusters.  Y'all always wanted them to not fire when blocked right? :3

Aaron: Nathan and Zack made a few visual 3D diagnostic tools we can render inside the 3D world..If we would have had all this 2 years ago..   ::)

Snapshot:

Disclaimer:
Spoiler
These daily development screenshots are just for fun during the engine overhauling doldrums; they do not represent anything that's in-game (we want surprises!) and come without explanation (guess away for fun!).  Regardless of what you see or think you see, just remember that our focus for the upcoming W1xx release is solely a stable, reliable multiplayer engine that will be ready when "Build, Fly, Shoot" is working appropriately.

So keep your expectations in check and have fun!  ::)

I see so many influences here that  I don't know what is what!

The stock reminds me of the needle carbine form Halo Reach, and everything else seems like some Franken mismatch from either that's zombie space game who's name I forgot, more Halo, and probably a little Mass Effect.

But I can definitely say its most likely an energy weapon.

Either way looks original and totally unwieldy to use!

Wielding it in the wrong way may make you lose a finger.  :-\
Most likely.

It's either the world's worst blaster rifle, the world's best Nerf gun, or a pretty ok key chain.
