Action 0: (0 Points) Now that the Coalition has settled the home station in friendly space, the Pale bulwark has taken the liberty of establishing a small jump station outside of capitol. With some effort and thought, one of the famous Terracotta Defense Cannons has also been constructed, courtesy of the dated kdb-1 Broadside Cruiser. As part of their mission statement, the Fleet Captain has issued an order to focus on expansion first, and then outfitting the set stations for trade, recreation, and defense.

Action 1: (1 points) Rearm the battered kdb-1 Broadside Cruiser The Pale Empress to meet new military regulations and prepare it for deploying the first relay station on it's way to the rest of the Coalition

Action 2: (1 point) Send the rearmed kdb-1 Broadside Cruiser The Pale Empress to FTL, flying her toward the nearby Perseverance Mobile Station(SRC home planet, or to a nearby unoccupied tile if we are adjacent, I don't know what my position on the map is)

I like the idea of assigning points to ships although I totally get that you wouldn't want to have to track that. You see 13 fleet points, I see 1.5 capital ships and 2 heavy cruisers and a repair vessel.

Ah, ok, I've got you as 13 points (that's what I had counted to begin with), just clarifying.

I've got everyone but Axis' and The Error's moves in, if you could submit them I'll close out the round. Axis: I've specified vassal capabilities if you'd like to modify your description; as it is I'm planning on giving you a 25% defense bonus in friendly systems and a 3-strength system with 2 fleet strength. Let me know in your action post if that is/isn't ok.

Edit: Oh right, and you get 2 Action-points instead of 4 as a Vassal

On this note here, I have conformed to the rules here, but the two action thing instead of 4 really feels kind of crippling. I don't mind the handicapped start, but I feel like I should still have an impact action-wise. Still, the decision is yours and I'm happy to do whatever you say, I just don't want feel like I'm doing nothing all game.

 Hm.

=Internal Affairs=
1/ Begin construction of fleet. Designate Antares.
2/ Begin FTL communications research.
3/ Colonize third planet, designate Lyran system.

And with that, we've finished 1 round!

Results:

Hufer, Fleet Admarial of the SRC:
Home System: Perseverance Mobile Station (H10)

Scouting team's (J10) messenger reports that the system searched has only rubble (D: 1, D: 4 = no other results); however, this bodes well for the mobile fleets of the SRC, that do not rely on planets or planetary bodies for colonization.

Fleet constructed.

Armor enhancement research is at 2/4

FS: 11 SS: 10

Axis48, Fleet Captain of the The Pale Bulwark; Vassal to the SRC
Home System: Toriban Jump Station (I11)

Fleet constructed.

(actions modified via PM) Colonizing fleet (G11) reports an asteroid field in the system (D:1, D:1 - bad outcome!); Colonizing fleet reports hostile alien warships! It's a trap (D:6, fleet strength = 6; D:1 - no additional result)! The fleet is taking evasive action and awaiting orders; enemy fleet strength is 6.

FS: (2!), 1 SS: 3

Komrade, PDF Commander of the ISO:
Home System: San Salvacion (M41)

Results of [REDACTED] Mission were [REDACTED]

Scouting team reports habitable Sol-like system (O41) (D:4, D:3 - no add'tl result).

Weapons/EMP research: 2/12

FS: 10 SS: 10

Holy thunder/ Glimmerhad, High Executor of the VE
Homeworld: Valencia (TB2; adj. RB2)

3 Fleets constructed.

FTL 2 Fleet-Recall Research - 1/4 1/12

FS: 13 SS: 10

Thadius Faran, Leader of the SDI
Home System: Caldera Mar (LB24)

2 Fleets constructed.

Colonization mission highly successful, this system has multiple habitable planets (D:5, D:4, no other result); Outpost established (KB23).

Scouting team runners report 2 normal systems (JB24, KB25) (D:3/D:4 - no add'tl, result; D:4/D:3:- no add'tl result).

FS: 12 SS: 11

The Error, High Commander of FRAK
Home System: Krull (TA6, adj. RA6)

Fleet constructed.

Outpost established (SA7) (D:2/D: 3 - no add'tl result)

FTL Comms research - 2/12

FS: 11 SS: 11

New actions can be submitted, I'm going to open up two new threads - one for diplomatic/RP communications & world building, one to list the nations in and discuss mechanics/changes/etc. If you could all remove/delete your non-action or signing up posts I'd appreciate it.

The round will close next Monday unless all actions are submitted before then.

Edit: Map and post updated with grid system positions.

2 points to fleet:  Battleship Leviathan is now complete.

2 points toward researching Wormhole Travel.

Action 0: (0 Points) The Pale Empress in threatened territory, the cruel alien fleet standing as a bitter reminder of the war that the Coalition had left behind. Realizing that they are no match for the massive onslaught of enemy ships, the choice is made to move to the next system and inform the SRC command of the alien threat.

Action 1: (1 points) Move the (2) kdb-1 Broadside Cruiser, The Pale Empress away from the alien craft to the next unoccupied hex, down and to the right, in hopes that colonizing efforts are more successful there.(Move the threatened fleet down and to the right with an FTL jump, trying to look for a safe colony location)

Action 2: (1 point) Focus on upgrading the outdated Toriban Jump Station, with a major focus on the Civilian Population(Invest an action in upgrading the home system)

2 points to outpost (hmmm Khajim) for improvement
2 points to research of advanced fighter drones to support my fleets and my allies.
If your going to use military force you ought to use overwhelming military force. All war is immoral and if you let that bother you your not a good soldier.

TURN 2

IC:
Spoiler
Unlike their homeland, Fleet Admiral Syte and Fleet Captain Lambardi have free reign in all forms here. Normally acting under a Constitutional Martial Law society the SRC leadership has come under scrutiny lately as Syte and his inner circle have yet to encounter any true threats that warrant the continued Martial Law. Using what he saw as potentially his last act as the sole leader of the entire SRC he poured all remaining major resources into a single new flagship, Aristotle. While still a force to be reckoned with, the Aristotle is not completed and still needs major research done to the experimental armouring systems that Syte had built into the ship's hull.

As a first step for this new sector Syte begins to coordinate construction for SRC's new commerce station, Foothold. The construction ships were also given orders to construct a cynosural beacon as a fast and reliable line of reinforcement, as SRC ships of the line take too long and too many resources to assemble on an assembly line (aside from fighters).

Actions: 1 Point - Begin construction of Foothold commerce station as a linked trade hub to Perseverance in the newly scouted out zone.
1 Point - Ship production (Constructing Single-Use Cynosural field generator for Wyvern to jump in a support fleet from SRC's Off-Map homeland, support fleet is worth 6 points .'. this action is 1/6 if it continues as planned)
2 Points - Research and Development for advanced Armouring systems.

Fleets/Groups:
Spoiler

Battlestar Group One 11/11 Point Strength:
Flagship: Aristotle (9)
Fleet Composition: Fleet Repair Vessel (0)
Small Craft: Viper Mk VIII Flight Groups - (Reaper Flight - 1) (Eagle Flight - 1)

Hawkeye 0/0 Points Strength:
Group Leader: N/A
Group: Hawkeye Scout Craft Group (0)

If everybody hasn't posted by then, next round ends Monday. It's slow, but so are the forums overall.

Probably want to put questions like that in Meta.

Yes, please put questions like this in Meta

Quote
Not dead, waiting for actions. I'll speed up the rate of actions if you guys can handle it, but so far I've only gotten 4/6 of your responses. If a couple of you have trouble posting regularly (only on weekends, for example), feel free to PM me or post multiple turns worth of actions. Next round may be shorter, I'd like it to update twice a week.

I'll PM the offending parties and see if I can get them to make a move early. No promises I'll get the map updated before Monday, unless they post today.

Edit: Numbers added to map.

Will keep up with posts in future to meet the two-update a week goal.  ^_^;;

We should work on a schedule, like one due Wed another due Friday.  Or something.

And with that, we've finished 2 rounds!

Next actions due Thursday & Monday (8 total)! We're going to try to stay on that schedule moving forward.

In an unexpected turn of events, The Error did not submit any actions. I'll use all of the actions available on ongoing research, as per the Meta-thread; allowing submission of revised actions at my discretion.

Results:

Hufer, Fleet Admarial of the SRC:
Home System: Perseverance Mobile Station (H10)

Colony Established, 1 FS moved to support.

Fleet constructed.

Armor enhancement research is complete, the fleet is being improved. Because your planets are ships, this applies slightly to your planets as well. Assume that your ship/planet numbers are counted better than what is displayed on the map.

FS: 12 SS: 11

Axis48, Fleet Captain of the The Pale Bulwark; Vassal to the SRC
Home System: Toriban Jump Station (I11)

Colonization mission was a huge success (d5)(H12)! Multiple worlds ready to inhabit. Warning! Mysterious drifting hulk detected in system (d2)! Caution Recommended

Incremental System upgrade 1/2 (I'll be posting the pricing of system upgrades in the OP)

FS: 3 SS: 3.5

Komrade, PDF Commander of the ISO:
Home System: San Salvacion (M41)

Colony Established (K41).

Science Fleet reports excellent system(d5) at (Q41)! Warning! Hostile aliens present (d1)! Aliens inhabit multiple worlds (d5,5)! Alien SS:5, FS:1 (d1). [Science fleet has information about the size of fleet needed to conquer this system, but is out of Comms/FTL range]

Scientists report that research continues Comrade Commander.

Weapons/EMP research: 4/12

FS: 10 SS: 11

Holy thunder/ Glimmerhad, High Executor of the VE
Homeworld: Valencia (TB2; adj. RB2)

2 Fleets constructed.

Research Continues.

Fleet-Recall Research - 3/12

FS: 15 SS: 10

Thadius Faran, Leader of the SDI

Move scout fleet toward lower right. Scan

One point towards Khajim improvement.

Action 0: (0 Points) The Pale Empress has made a successful jump away from the entirely hostile enemy force. With a little less to worry about the crew finally settles down toward regular duties and what they were deployed to do. Despite the existence of the odd 'hulk, they decided to begin releasing colony probes down into the system and begin efforts to get the system in-shape.

Action 1: (1 point) Deploy the colony systems on board the kdb-1 Broadside Cruiser, the Pale Empress down to the current system, providing a fleet screen against the unknown object while the colony is set up.(Colonize the scouted system)

Action 2: (1 point) Continue upgrading the outdated Toriban Jump Station, with a major focus on the Civilian Population(Invest an action in upgrading the home system)
