Have you tried multi-colored? I put all of the colors of glass together in a repeating pattern to make a medium sized vid-screen. It looks really neat.

Update: Finished the Tarsus-class explorer and the P64-D Ferret light fighter, and completely reworked the OP. The original military vessels will be going up on that soon.

Also, included a RAR with the BRDs of all four of my ships so far in the first post. Go check 'em out!

EDIT: Re-added the Valkyrie and the new Rapier to the first post.

The wings on that Ferret look just about perfect for Starfury-style thrusters.

WIP frigate. Hull's complete aside from armrament(well, armrament besides one weapon) and plating. And then I get to fill in the interior, that's gonna' be fun.

That's a very interesting hull shape.   Looking forward to seeing it plated.

Oh, and as a side note - you can get rid of the tutorial text in the lower right by pressing F2.
