Fleet Doctrine: Storm's Reach Coalition ships are all generally more expensive and more difficult to field than what they've encountered so far in the verge. As a consequence of such they generally operate while outnumbered by hostile forces and rely on their advanced systems and defenses to pull them through. The main fleet composition generally seen employed by the SRC is a "Battlestar Group," or a fleet of ships headed by one command and control Battlestar designated as the fleet commander. Despite that being the general practice the SRC have also been known to employ a variety of other tactics and fleet compositions.

<BSG> Aristotle Class Heavy Battlestar - Flagship, Fleet Admiral SyteTimeline: Drafted March 2013, Space Worthy March 2013, Combat Ready April 2013, Currently WIP
SpoilerClass: Heavy Battlestar (2nd Generation)
Number in Service/Production (Approx.): 1
Notable of Class: BSG - 18 "Aristotle"
Threat Index: 9.5/10
Expense Index: 10/10
History/Information:SpoilerThe first major design sparking controversy in the fleet, The Aristotle is a collaboration between major military designers and engineers, only those known to be unquestionably loyal (yes-men) to Admiral Syte. The amount of resources spent on this ship could not be matched by any other in the SRC fleet which sparked controversy amongst a few of the civillian political groups and possibly giving birth to the first ever internal opposition moving for the abolishment of martial law and re-establishment of government within the SRC. Syte, having the twisted sense of ironic humor that he does, aptly named the ship "Aristotle." There was no expense spared on this new flagship, it not only sported every advancement in warfare that the SRC has made but left a lot of room for future improvements and designs without having to do a full overhaul. The largest Battlestar built to date, The Aristotle is extremely fast and maneuverable for it's size as well as having the same quad-hanger design as Syte's first large command, The Avidus.
Sporting an adaptive, almost organic in application hull design, The Aristotle does not have any built-in weapons. She was designed to be an adaptive ship, able to undergo a complete weapons refit in under 2 days if need be. This revolutionary design choice future-proofs this design and gives Syte an even greater presence of unpredictability. The primary load out was designed to be 12 Bow-Mounted heavy Tri-Cannons and a 360 degree full flak system.
The Aristotle carries the latest in experimental armouring systems. It features a unique "Honeycomb" design with a woven synthetic titanium alloy. The synthetic design and interwoven segments of the armouring mean that incoming projectiles have to face the full strength of the armour system at every possible attack vector and even after piercing multiple outer layers. Given the abundance of interior space required for the armouring the only limiting factor for introducing this theoretical system for the Aristotle was the increased design time and cost.
The Aristotle steps away from the standard flagship design of one major reactor and one or two auxiliary reactors. Instead of the common design Syte drafted a multitude of small yet stable electric-arc reactors. These reactors can keep critical sections of the ship in function even after sustaining massive damage.
With the multitude of reactors placed strategically around the ship there was not a large need for a concentrated FTL drive, though the lack of a "need" for an expensive core didn't prevent Syte from planting the latest advancements in faster than light jump drive technology. The current main core has a very fast jump calculation time, a very high jump range, cynosural lock-on capabilities, and complete self-sustainability. The tradeoff, other than cost to manufacture, is the need to re-prime the drive after each jump; the complex "radiator" rods in place generate a massive amount of heat that require ventilation shafts on the dorsal-side to open. This presents not so much of a vulnerability but a "buffer-time" between jumps. This buffer time is off-set by adding a completely different warp-core in a separate section of this ship with standard calculation time, fuel costs, and jump range. To this day no other ship in the SRC has two dedicated primary FTL drives.
Aside from the expensive controversy-sparking FTL system the Aristotle was designed as a Battlestar and because of which carries two flight pods both with two hangers each (two of which being inverted, much like the Avidus) for a total of 4 flight decks.

<BSG> Avidus Class BattlestarTimeline: Drafted August 2012, Combat Ready September 2012, Currently In Service
SpoilerClass: Light Battlestar (1st Generation (12th Generation when it was constructed for The Old Coalition))
Known Ship Names: BSG - 88 "Avidus", BSG - 42 "Imperious"
Information: The original design of the Avidus was to act as a Flagship for the recently promoted Rear Admiral Syte and a small but expensive and heavily armed battle group (Battlestar Group 88, Storm's Reach Company). The primary design purpose was to be a smaller scaled but heavier armed and armoured Battlestar specifically designed to go toe-to-toe with Asarian forces either in a fleet, or alone. It was attacked along with a majority of the defending fleet while still under construction at Krytan Shipyards and barely escaped while the combat fleet burned. Construction of the Avidus was finished in a deep space nebula where during the construction the Avidus and it's Civilian Fleet operated as a repair and rally point for retreating Coalition Vessels. Once word reached the Avidus of the annihilation of both sides of the conflict it became the Flagship of the remaining fleet and Rear Admiral Syte declared himself Fleet admiral, quickly following suite by declaring Martial law shortly after. What remained of BSG-88 and all of the other remnant ships from other battle groups formed under the banner of the Storm's Reach Coalition.
Weaponry: Primary Armament consists of two Tri-Heavy Repeating Artillery Fore-Mounted. Secondary Armaments consist of multiple dual-cannons mounted at strategic locations on the hull. The Avidus also carries multiple heavy-torpedoes out of eight launch tubes for finishing off wounded larger targets as well as eight Nuclear Fission Cruise Missiles Launchers with both Nuclear Cruise Missiles as well as Electronic Warfare Missiles on-board.
Defences: Primary Defensive systems still consist of 5 Thick Heavy Armor throughout the ship, with some deemed more important even going as thick as 14 (Combat Information Center). The Secondary Defensive System for The Avidus is it's Point-Defence-Flack-Screen (PDFS), able to project large amounts of anti-fighter/bomber flack at nearly every angle and covering every vulnerable part of The Avidus. It's massive thruster section (nearly one third the size of the ship) allows the Avidus to preform very fast maneuvres for a Battlestar-Class ship and to date has the best anti-fighter capabilities of any Capital Ship known to the former Coalition.
Propulsion: The Avidus has a large amount of vectored reaction-based sub-light engines that take up one-third of the ship just to fit in the Generator to power them. This, combined with it's relatively small size for a Capital Ship make it very maneuverable and easy to defend. It carries a massive FTL Core able to make long-range jumps with minimal calculation time. The Main Reactor is the largest and most expensive single part of the ship, it has a constant Tachyon reaction in it's main generation chamber that generates nearly infinite power at the cost of low stability. To counteract the ship's vulnerability at it's core it has the thickest armour plating around the core, as well as a massive armoured casing to protect it in case of a hull breach or armed incursion. Another drawback is if the Engineer crew doesn't properly balance the increase and decrease of power usage the core will need to be shut down for hours to restart a stable reaction. In case of a core shut-down The Avidus is equip with emergency diesel-fuelled generators to power basic life-support, radar, and two engine cones.
Misc: The Avidus has a total of four hanger bays on-board, all located within the external flight pods on either side of the ship. Two of the hangers, each located on the bottom of the each flight pod, are inverted. The inverted flight pods add additional hanger space while providing an overall lower weight and profile to the ship and provide additional armouring. They both require pilots to preform landings and launches upside down in relation to the ship.
The Avidus has recently gone through a major overhaul to combat newly discovered weak links in the bow-design. It's engines were also updated to improve overall thrust and maneuvering.

Arrow Class Long Range BomberTimeline: Drafted September 2012, Combat Ready September 2012, Currently In Service.
SpoilerClass: Long Range Bomber (1st Generation)
Known Ship Names: N/A (Sometimes named by pilots)
Information: The Arrow Class bomber is once again the brainchild of Fleet Admiral Syte, designed to instil the fear that his fleet can hit any target at any time. After completely wiping out the Asarian remnant forces Syte dug through old classified archives in both Asarian and Coalition libraries. Once both concepts were melded together the Arrow Class Bomber was born. Often referred to as the "ASB" (Arrow Strategic-class Bomber) by command, the Arrow is a fearsome weapon able to deliver Nuclear Payloads to immobile targets such as planets and space stations, as well as give any capital ship's armour a run for it's money. The only major drawback in this bomber design is the monumental cost when compared to other bombers.
Weaponry: Multiple Static-Blaster banks, twelve large anti-ship torpedo hard points with no reload capacity, one nuclear cruise missile launcher.
Defences: Heavy Plating, no major defensive systems.
Propulsion: Primary sub-light thrusters off each wing powered by the drive core. Massive afterburner section in the middle powered on a basic fuel ignition reaction, not intended for extended use but gives the bomber a massive top speed advantage over others in it's class. The Arrow is quite the standard bomber in almost all regards minus the fact it not only has an FTL Drive, but a highly advanced FTL Drive. The prototype drive on-board the Arrow Bomber can make lightning fast jump calculations with pre-set coordinates, taking only minutes to cool down between jumps. The jump range itself is a little below average yet the bomber has an amazing ability to appear out of nowhere, deploy it's payload, and vanish before interceptors have a chance to take it down. The Jump drive itself sadly isn't self-sufficient on the standard model, and typically doesn't carry enough fuel for more than one run.
Misc: The Arrow typically jumps quite a way away from it's intended target before engaging it's afterburners and plotting it's exit jump. Once the exit jump is calculated the Arrow will accelerate to speed exceeding that of most interceptors and deploy it's payload on the target. If any ships attempt an interception post-payload delivery the Arrow will simply jump away, if it does not however detect any threats the pilots will generally disengage the afterburner and go for a few manual strafing runs with the bomber's built in heavy weapons until something arrives that poses a threat. It's not the Arrow's design that makes it such a feared tool in Admiral Syte's hands, it's the fact that it is always within striking range and ships must be posted at every strategic location to prevent this prototype from appearing. There were plans for the advanced model of the Arrow Bomber (Arrow Mk II, codename project Longbow) but they were scrapped when Admiral Syte saw the cost increase for the Drive Core that could self-sustain.

<SCS> Wyvern Class SUPERCARRIER - Fleet Carrier, Flagship, Rear Admiral VaseriusTimeline: Drafted October 2012, Space Worthy December 2012, Combat Ready January 2013, Currently In WIP
SpoilerClass:
[PROTOTYPE] Mothership (1st Generation)
Known Ship Names: SCS - 01 "Wyvern" (Unique)
Information: After the destruction of the Asarian remnant forces Admiral Syte found the remains of the BSG - 104, Fleet Admiral Harper's Battlegroup and it's heavily damaged flagship, "Thanatos." Syte made it his top priority to set up a covert reconstruction team at the site of the battlefield to restore the "Thanatos" to combat operational status and to give it a number of reworks with current technology. He kept the existence of the project a well kept secret in his inner circle, assigning his trusted friend, Captain Thomson Lambardi to oversee the construction with his newly upgraded ship "The Pale Empress." At a gathering of the upper class personal in the fleet Syte proposed a toast while revealing a new addition to the fleet; "To our continued existence and to our enemies, however numerous,
may they never see the water part before the Wyvern emerges."
Weaponry: One auto-reloading Nuclear Cruise Missiles Launcher (NCML) and a numerous amount of heavy flak cannons placed about the ship intended to deter any aggressor from coming near the Wyvern.
Defences: Heavy Plating of varying thickness; it's large mass suggests it has over 10 layers of plating in almost all places. The Wyvern has also been fit with custom shield generators the size of a small frigate each; it still is having problems integrating them with the core of the ship as the Storm's Reach Coalition has yet to adapt their technology to work with kinetic barriers.
Propulsion: Four in-built vectored plasma engines and two main distortion engines massive in size, all of them are powered off the main reactor with auxiliary lines running to both the secondary and backup reactor. For FTL it sports a massive and well defended stabilized hydrogen reaction main core. This type of core is uncommon in warships as it's normally very big in size and is very unstable and hazardous if even an asteroid nudges it. Because of the stability issue the main core is stuffed behind a multitude of reinforced bulkheads and in the most defend-able part of the ship. The drive core provides very long range jumps with a somewhat slow calculation time, however this is not the main feature of this special core. This core has the ability to preform a near-instant jump calculation if the targeted area has a large energy distortion nearby to "lock on" to. Because of this the Wyvern needs a support ship to "light" it a beacon at it's intended target if it wants to make a fast jump. The drawback of course is that the ship lighting the beacon must be equip with the somewhat large module to do so; because of this only specialized ships or cruisers and above can preform this task.
Misc: The Wyvern has the largest hanger capacity of any ship in the known Storm's Reach fleet. The SRC have yet to encounter a larger ship to this date. The Wyvern sports two landing strips (one intended for larger ships), a ship maintenance bay (for quick rearm and repair), and a main hanger (often referred to as "The Belly of the Beast.") A new Battlegroup was formed headed by this new monster of a flagship. As Syte now spends his time residing upon the Wyvern to oversee it's final stages before it's fully combat ready there are whispers throughout the military that he will pass on command of The Avidus to somebody.

<CVG> Harbinger Class CruiserTimeline: Drafted November 2012, Space Worthy November 2012, Combat Ready December 2012, Currently In Service
SpoilerClass: Cruiser (1st Generation)
Known Ship Names: CVG - 01 "Harbinger" CVG - 405 "Deadlock" CVG - 406 "Tombstone" (Numerous)
Information: The Harbinger Class Cruiser was another ship born after the destruction of The Coalition. One major difference with this design is the fact the Harbinger class was drawn up completely by Fleet Admiral Syte with minimal input from the SRC inner circle. Controversy surrounds the first model, "The Harbinger," as it's commanding officer; Commander Valis Fate, was promoted due to his closeness with Syte rather than his military experience. "The Harbinger" model itself is different from it's sister ships in the way it's slightly more armoured and lacks armaments on the lower bow pylon. Instead of sporting the normal weapons for a ship of this class the Harbinger has been fitted with a dedicated "Cynosural" field generator able to generate an immense amount of mass for the Wyvern's massive jump drive to preform a near-instant jump almost disregarding calculation time altogether; it also provides a superior jump range. Because of this Cynosural field generator The Harbinger has been associated with a certain quote from Captain Thomson Lambardi: "...Where the Harbinger roams; Wyvern follows."
Weaponry: Magnetic-fusion Assault Cannon (MAC) mounted on the upper bow pylon. The Harbinger class rely heavily on this main weapon to take down anything bigger than a bomber with amazing speed and accuracy. The Harbinger class also sport five dual projectile batteries on it's side for basic broadside and less-than adequate fighter screening.
Defences: Heavy armor; 2 thick in almost all locations. Kinetic barrier emitters (unable to properly calibrate due to lack of technology)
Propulsion: Two cold fusion arc-jet thrusters are quite uncommon on cruisers and are more commonly seen on Asarian Battleships to provide a quick boost. In this case, however, the Arc-jets are both heavily reliant on the main reactor to provide the power for the fusion, granting a massive increase to fuel economy but not eliminating it altogether. As the Harbinger class, especially The Harbinger itself, often work alone as well as in fleets for long periods of time they all carry equipment to mine the compressed ice required to fuel the engines as well as carry two auxiliary nuclear fusion engines that can be run completely off the reactor. The Harbinger class also carry a standard jump drive modified for a noticeable increase in jump range and a slightly higher calculation time as a trade-off.
Misc: The Harbinger class sports six hanger bays all fully capable for re-arm and repair duties as well as being large enough to carry small bombers and shuttles as well as fighters and interceptors. The Harbinger also has two docking modules which allow them to both give and receive repairs to/from other large ships. ((
The Harbinger is loosely based off the Halo series UNSC Frigate))

<BSG> Victoria Class Heavy BattlestarTimeline: Drafted February 2013, Space Worthy March 2013, Combat Ready March 2013, Currently In WIP
SpoilerClass: Heavy Battlestar (2nd Generation)
Known Ship Names: BSG - 12 "Victoria" (Unique)
Information: With the Avidus beginning to show age in recent (now a common occurrence) first contact fights with unknown forces the Wyvern is called into more and more combat situations. This quickly drew attention to the Wyvern's one major flaw; while it has a very large flak field to repel enemies and more than an adequate amount of fighter/bomber support to engage them in open warfare it lacks the ability to unleash straight up damage. The Harbinger class and Hammerhead class are often called in to remedy this situation but both of which lack any real form of armoring to stay in the fight for long periods of time. Eventually every long engagement turned into damaged SRC combat ships making repairs behind the Wyvern's flak wall while bombers slowly pecked away at the remaining enemy ships, hardly efficient enough for the headstrong Fleet Admiral Syte. The new battleship project (code named "Leviathan") was going to slightly help the situation but not remove the problem altogether. As is tradition now with the Coalition Syte drafted up a completely new and radical design, a massive Battlestar to rival the survivability of even the Wyvern as well as matching the damage output that a fleet of Hammerheads can output. The construction process completely threw all of the old, formerly top of the line, Battlestar designs together, combining the strengths of them while using modern technology to eliminate the weaknesses into one behemoth of a flagship; The Victoria. This was the first Battlestar (a formerly obsolete design) to be constructed since the days of the Asarian wars.
Weaponry: Nine bow-mounted heavy Tri-Cannons, sixty-eight heavy linked static cannons, sixteen sleek turrets. Currently the strongest armament of any SRC ship.
Defences: Heavy plating, 6 deep in most places, double layered, and up to 16 deep in vital areas.
Propulsion: Two Large Distortion engines, Twelve Burst-Energy thrusters. The Victoria also carries two massive linked FTL cores, they have slightly above average calculation times as well as a massive jump range. The FTL cores are Particle Collider powered which also powers the rest of the ship, as a drawback any loss of power to the FTL drives will also cause loss of power to the rest of the ship. The Victoria only carries a small auxiliary generator in a separate classified part of the ship to power crucial navigation systems in the event of a drive core failure. To combat this massive weakness the FTL cores are heavily protected from both internal sabotage and external damage. They are isolated off from the other sections of the ship and have up to 16 dual layers of heavy plating, the most anywhere on the ship. Some assume Syte spread the information of the vulnerable drive core to entice potential enemies into trying to focus down the core, the most heavily defended part of the ship.
Misc: The Victoria carries two main hanger bays, capable of housing a massive number of craft that don't carry warp cores. It also carries to auxiliary bays and an under-side upside-down hanger for quick and safe deployment as well as repairs in combat.
