Indev Movement Speed
« on: April 08, 2012, 10:28:26 pm »
I feel like, although the same as W28, the movement speed in the editor is still too slow. When I have to hold shift down all the time to be getting from one part of the ship to another, it becomes a bit excessive. The standard speed should probably be the shift speed, and the shift speed should be much faster. Also, a 'slow' speed could be added by holding down another key (ctrl, for example).

Just my two cents about trying to build something several hundred meters long...

  • It's "Strait", as in the body of water.

The default speed is good for making most block placements and the 'turbo' speed is good for moving short distances. (up to a hundred meters or so)

A third speed level would be helpful in some cases. Ultra-turbo. ;)

Works for now, but odd that it doesn't stop faster...
I guess it will have to do.  :)
